Kris Muir is the Paul E. Purcell Associate Teaching Professor in the Management & Organization Department and since 2020 has served as inaugural Academic Director for the Master of Science in Management (MSM) Program, a graduate program designed for non-business majors. Kris has taught various audiences–undergraduates, master’s students, MSBA Chicago students, MBA students, Global Executive MBA students, and non-degree executives–on the following topics: management, leadership, strategy, business problem solving, decision making, social entrepreneurship, sustainability, best leader self, and building a transformational leadership portfolio. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Kris served as Academic Director for the Master of Science in Business program at Mays Business School (Texas A&M) and led workshops for the Center for Executive Development Global Programs. Kris is also a certified executive leadership coach through the elite Hudson Institute.
Aside from his work at Notre Dame, Kris's hobbies have evolved from coaching lacrosse to mostly decluttering the house, raising 2 independent girls, reading books, and making lattes for his wife, M&O professor Cindy Muir (Zapata).
